So we went to the Insight Bowl this year like every other year. This year it was Texas Tech against Minnesota. We expected Texas Tech to blowout Minnesota but I'll just say that we were surprised. The game was at Sun Devil Stadium, which was a change of venue from last year and our seats were high up but pretty much as good as they get. The game started off sloppy and Texas Tech ended up going for it on forth down and on their next possession they threw an interception. Neither team had any type of defense that we could see. Minnesota jumped out to a 21-0 lead at the beginning of the second quarter.
We had set some guidelines earlier in the day so we could leave if there was a blowout. If a team was up by 28 or more at halftime or later then we would leave the game or if a team was up 24 and at least 3 of us were cold then we would leave. Well, the halftime score was 35-7 Minnesota and Texas Tech looked like shit. There was a play where Minnesota threw an interception and the TT guy was running it back and was near the end zone. He was about 7 yards away and fumbled the ball forwards into the end zone. A Minnesota player recovered the ball and it was a touchback for Minnesota. Yuck.
So we decided to leave at half time with the score being 35-7. Once we got home the score was 38-7 Minnesota with six minutes left in the third. We couldn't watch the game on tv because it was on NFL Network (wtf), so we just assumed the game was over. I got a call a few hours later from Megan saying that the game was in overtime. What the hell? I guess Texas Tech some how came back and sent the game into overtime with a 52 yard field goal at the end of regulation. We were all shocked. Texas Tech ended up winning in overtime.
It was the biggest comeback in college football bowl history (31 points) and I had left the game at half time. I just wish I would have stayed to see it all because it seems like it was pretty damb exciting. I guess I can say that I left early from the biggest comeback in Bowl history. Damb. I wonder how Minnesota blew the game. Did they run the ball every play and somehow Texas Tech stopped them without a defense? This seems so strange to me. Oh well, either way, I wish I could have seen it. I guess it's better to have seen part of it than none of it at all.

Nada
Nothing terribly interesting has happened recently. I'm on winter break and basically just waiting for Christmas and the trip to AZ. Meg's in FL and it's boring without her here. I've grinded up $2 that I had on ultimate bet up to around $70. Besides that I've enjoyed playing the $1 and $2 tourneys on PS. Recenly I've gotten deep into them and it's good tournament practice. I also just got HOH 1,2,3 and plan on reading them soon.
