The US government has recently introduced new legislation in the form of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. To best protect the interests of NETELLER members, employees, shareholders and business partners, NETELLER will no longer provide service to US members to transfer funds to and from online gambling merchants.
Can this lead to the end of online poker? Either way, it sucks. Neteller is the most popular "e-wallet" for gambling purposes. I'm glad that I don't have a whole lot of money on sites, but it's frustrating to know that I can't get it off very easily and that the government is cracking down on online poker when it's still legal to carry a gun around, gamble at race tracks, and with lottery tickets. Also, there are murderers walking around and we stick to trying to prevent people from having fun on the internet. I'm obviously biased on this topic, but take it or leave it.
